A indeterminate heirloom variety from the USA, believed to have been introduced in the 1880s. Tomatoes have a rich tomato flavor and turn maroon-red with almost black-colored shoulders (black tomato) when mature. These juicy, sweet flesh tomatoes are great in salads and on sandwiches.
