Rye Grain Seeds (Abruzzi) : Rye grain seed is planted as a grain crop, annual forage crop, cover crop ( to control erosion, has a weed suppression and for adding organic matter to the soil as a green manure as it is one of best green manure for improving soil structure. ) and for wildlife food plots for deer, turkey, and rabbit. Rye grain is very fast to establish, has a fair winter hardiness and can grow 4 to 5 ft. tall. Rye grows best on well-drained soils with pH between 6.0 and 7.0. Rye is an excellent soil renovator and pioneer crop for new fields. When young the tender stems of rye grain has a protein of 14% to 16% and are easily digestible to wildlife.It is suitable for use in fall-planted hunting plots and as an early spring food source. Rye grain is excellent for no-till planting.

Broadcast 50 to 100 lb. per acre
Food plot rate 100 lb. per acre or 6 to 8 lb. per 1000 sq ft.
