Description   Cajohns Serrano pepper also known as the NuMex Cajohn Serrano was developed and bred by the Chile Pepper Institute at New Mexico State University. The Cajohns Serrano pepper is much wider and longer than all Serrano chile types and as thick as an average Jalapeno and up to 4 inches long depending on growing conditions. The heat is average Serrano heat and the flavor has fruity tones as it ripens to red. It is extremely productive and can be used for poppers, pickling, and salsa. The Cajohn’s Serrano chile plants grow up to 4 feet tall.
