Rain Forest-(Capsicum bacattum)-The Rain forest pepper is from South
America from the southern rain forests of Brazil. It grows very fast and
will need support as it shoots out vine like branches all over. Perhaps a
tomato cage would be best. The Rain forest chile plant produces tons of
apple shaped peppers that ripen from green to orange red. The heat is
mild to medium and the flavor is fruity sweet but not too sweet. Very
fresh tasting and crunchy peppers. The Rain forest chiles can be stuffed
with cheese or meats. They are also good for salads, sauces, fresh salsa
and pickling. The peppers are usually larger than a golf ball on
average. The Rain forest chile plants grow over 5 feet tall.
