Description   Black Sex Links Egg Color Egg Size (oz/doz) Rate of Lay Brown 26 - 27 Excellent Cross developed from a Rhode Island Red male and Barred Plymouth Rock female. Hen are large enough to be used for meat when their use as laying hens has been completed. Males are black and white barred, very similar to Barred Plymouth Rocks. Females are solid black with some gold hackles and front neck plumage. On chicks the head of the females are solid black while the males have a small light yellow spot on the top of the head. Adult Weight - Male: 9 pounds ; Female: 7 pounds Purpose - Egg Laying / Meat production Breed - Non - Standard
