Daikon Radish Seeds : Daikon Radish is the new hottest annual in wildlife and deer food plots. The tap root of this radish grows to a length of 10 to 24 inches. Daikon Radish is not only good for food plots but is great for improvement to the soil as the tap root of this radish can help break up the tough compacted soil and can also be used as a winter cattle forage. One of the biggest benefit of planting Daikon Radish in a deer food plot not only do the deer eat the tops but also eat the root. The forage contains greater than 30 percent crude protein, and the roots are reported to contain greater than 20 percent protein. Radishes belong to the brassica family along with rape, kale, and turnips with which are also commonly planted for deer. Not only is the Daikon Radish great for food plots but it is also grown the the home vegetable garden and used in Asian and Indian cooking.
