Description   The Aji Ayuyo pepper is an heirloom pepper from Peru. It's beautiful fruit looks like an Amethyst jewel that start's off like elongated light purple jellybeans and then turn light orange and finally red when fully ripe. The flavor is sweet but a subtle sweetness with a medium heat level. The chiles are very juicy. They are used is sauces, fresh salsa and seasoning for soups and stews. The plants are very bushy and extremely productive. The Aji Ayuyo chile plants grow over 4 feet tall.
