    Black Hungarian Pepper Plant : Heirloom This Hungarian heirloom produces 3-4" fruits similar in shape to Jalapenos. Fruit start out a glossy black and ripen to red. The pods are mildly hot and have a delicious flavor. Highly ornamental and useful in the kitchen. The leaves are green with purple veins and lovely purple flowers. Plants grows about 30-36" tall. Rare & colorful.

    Black Pearl Pepper Plant : A bushy ornamental with fruit that is about 3/4-inch small round 'pearl shaped' pods which ripens from black to a rich, deep red. Edible, though VERY hot.     Cayenne Purple Pepper Plant : Produces good yields of 2 ¾" long by ½" wide hot peppers. Peppers start out a glossy dark purple maturing to fire red. Plants grow 2 to 3 feet tall and are are covered with dozens of white/purple flowers. Exceptionally edible ornamental pepper is probably the most beautiful of the many Cayenne varieties. 5,000 to 30,000 Scoville.

    Espanola Pepper Plant : Developed by the New Mexico State University. Produces heavy yields of 6" long hot peppers that turn from green to red when mature. Fruits have moderate heat and are often used dried or to make hot sauce. The original Ristra Chile, widely popular in New Mexico for cooking and as an ornamental.

    Fish Pepper Plant : Heirloom African variety, Pre-1870's used to season fish and shellfish in the African-American communities around Baltimore and Philadelphia and are traditionally still used in oyster and fish houses around the Chesapeake Bay region in the state of Maryland. Fruits are green and white or cream colored, changing to shades of red, orange, rust, and brown, with striped accents of green, yellow, and cream mixed in when fully mature. This 3" peppers flavor is moderately hot. The ornamental pepper plant grows to about 18" to 24" tall.
